My father, Dr. Irving Fitterman, a former Macy executive, was on loan to the Israeli Government some 35 years ago to help the state export goods to the United States. At that time, he made acquaintance with many high profile people from Israel, including Frank Meisler. On a vacation in Israel twenty years later, my father reacquainted himself with many of the people he had met years prior and from this visit, he began marketing the works of Frank Meisler in the United States. I joined my father in the business in 1992 and together we traveled around the country exhibiting the beautiful works of Frank Meisler at Synagogues, Temples and Jewish Community Centers to help raise money for their organizations. We were very successful in this mitzvah. Thirteen was the lucky number of years that my father distributed Frank Meisler’s work in the U.S. when he then decided to retire and enjoy all that the world has to offer. So he, with my Mom, embarked on year-round world travel. I, raising a young family of my own, am here in New Jersey as a Frank Meisler representative authorized by him to sell his work in the United States.
